Writing

Your Voice.

Have you ever wanted to scream
And yet when you open your mouth
No words come out
For the sound of your voice is being drowned
By the thoughts in your mind
And not even a sound can escape
Just silence

It’s as if you’re drowning
Yet there is no water for you to sink under
As if you are being choked at the hands of your own words
Their grasp slowly tightening
Until you can’t even move your mouth any longer

You see a thread being stitched over your mouth
For the strength of your words don’t have meaning
You can no longer see your disintegrating path
Just darkness

Grasping at nothing
Tied down to the floor
Body shackled, immobilized
And yet they unclipped your stitches

You may be able to speak
But no one will hear you.
